Sivagiri Mutt is a significant spiritual and pilgrimage center located on a hill in Varkala. It is the final resting place, or 'Samadhi', of the revered social reformer and sage, Sree Narayana Guru. The atmosphere here is calm and reflective, drawing both devotees and those seeking peace. The main complex includes the Guru's Samadhi Mandapam, a memorial hall where his remains are enshrined, and the uniquely octagonal Sharada Temple, dedicated to Saraswati, the goddess of knowledge. This temple was consecrated by the Guru himself.
