Veli Tourist Village - Lakeside Park in Thiruvananthapuram

Veli Tourist Village was developed and is maintained by the District Tourism Promotion Council (DTPC) of Thiruvananthapuram. It was established as a waterfront park to create a major recreational facility for both residents and tourists. The concept was to utilize the natural beauty of the estuary where the Veli Lake joins the sea. Over the years, features like the floating bridge, the children's park, and various boating facilities were added to enhance the visitor experience. The large-scale sculptures within the garden were created by noted sculptor Kanayi Kunhiraman, adding an artistic dimension to the landscape.
