Wayanad Wildlife Sanctuary - Safari Guide & Timings

Established in 1973, the Wayanad Wildlife Sanctuary was created to conserve the region's rich biodiversity. It was brought under the umbrella of Project Elephant in 1991-92 to protect the large and migratory elephant populations. The sanctuary is contiguous with Nagarhole and Bandipur National Parks in Karnataka and Mudumalai National Park in Tamil Nadu, creating a vast protected landscape.
