Discover what makes this destination truly special

Charminar is the most famous landmark of Hyderabad, a magnificent monument and mosque built in 1591. Its name, which translates to "Four Minarets," comes from its structure, which is defined by four ornate minarets, one on each corner. This grand square structure, made of granite and lime mortar, stands at the heart of the bustling old city. Visitors can climb the narrow, winding staircase inside one of the minarets to reach the upper floor.
