Discover what makes this destination truly special

The Eklingji Temple, located in the town of Kailashpuri, is a large temple complex dedicated to Lord Shiva. It holds immense religious importance, especially for the Mewar royal family, who consider Eklingji as their primary deity and rule as his representatives. The main temple is a double-storied structure with a distinct pyramidal roof and a beautifully crafted mandapam (hall) supported by large, intricately carved pillars. The central sanctum houses a remarkable four-faced idol of Lord Shiva, carved from black marble, with each face representing a different form of the deity. The west-facing face is of Brahma, the north is of Vishnu, the east is of Surya, and the south-facing one is of Rudra.
