A small, secluded rocky cove in Vasco da Gama, known for a unique sea-cave and excellent views of the Mormugao Port.
Discover what makes this destination truly special

Grandmother's Hole Beach is a small, rocky cove located near the Mormugao Port in Vasco da Gama. Unlike the typical sandy stretches of Goa, this beach is characterized by its rugged shoreline and a small patch of sand accessible during low tide. The beach gets its unusual name from a natural hole, or sea cave, in the rock face which is part of an old fort's rampart. Visitors come here for the quiet atmosphere and the distinct views. From the beach and the garden above, you can watch large ships entering and leaving the busy Mormugao Port, offering a different kind of coastal experience.
Plan your trip around the ideal season for the best experience
