Discover what makes this destination truly special

Humayun's Tomb is a grand mausoleum of the Mughal Emperor Humayun, located in the heart of Delhi. Commissioned in 1565 AD by his senior widow, Bega Begum, it was the first garden-tomb on the Indian subcontinent. The complex is an exceptional example of early Mughal architecture, heavily influenced by Persian styles. Visitors first enter through a large gateway that opens up to a magnificent, geometrically arranged garden known as a Charbagh. The garden is divided into four main squares by water channels, representing the Islamic concept of paradise.
