Discover what makes this destination truly special

Hussain Sagar is a large, heart-shaped lake in Hyderabad that separates the twin cities of Hyderabad and Secunderabad. Constructed in the 16th century on a tributary of the Musi River, it was originally a source of water for the city. Today, it's a major hub for recreational activities. The lake's most prominent feature is a massive monolithic statue of Gautama Buddha, which stands on a platform called the Gibraltar Rock in the middle of the water. Visitors can take ferries and speedboats to get a closer look at the statue and enjoy the panoramic views of the city skyline.
