A beautiful waterfall near Naggar, reached via a scenic drive. Enjoy authentic Himachali food at dhabas set up right next to the cascading water.
Jana Waterfall is a natural cascade located in the quiet Jana village, a short drive from Naggar and Manali. To get there, you travel along a road that winds through dense deodar and pine forests, passing by numerous apple orchards. The waterfall itself is not a single massive drop but a series of cascades tumbling over a cluster of rocks, eventually forming a small pool at the bottom. A simple wooden bridge built across the stream offers a great viewpoint and photo opportunity. The atmosphere here is peaceful and completely different from the busy centers of Manali. The main attraction, besides the waterfall, is the experience of eating traditional Himachali food. A couple of family-run dhabas are set up right at the base of the falls, where they serve authentic local dishes like siddu, lingri (fiddlehead fern), and red rice. Visitors can sit on wooden benches, enjoy a fresh meal, and listen to the sound of the water. A short, slightly steep trail allows you to climb up to the top of the waterfall for a different perspective of the valley.
