A massive gravity dam, part of the Idukki Hydroelectric Project, offering expansive views of the reservoir and surrounding Western Ghats.
Discover what makes this destination truly special

Kulamavu Dam is a gravity dam and a crucial component of the Idukki Hydroelectric Project, which also includes the Idukki Arch Dam and the Cheruthoni Dam. These three dams collectively create the vast Idukki reservoir. While it's an operational dam focused on power generation, its sheer scale and the surrounding environment make it a point of interest. The area around the dam is characterized by dense green forests and rolling hills, typical of the Western Ghats.
