A historic public park in Delhi featuring 15th-century tombs, lush green lawns, and walking trails, popular for recreation and heritage walks.
Lodhi Garden is a large public park in New Delhi that contains several important architectural works from the 15th and 16th centuries. The garden is spread over 90 acres and houses the tombs of Mohammed Shah and Sikandar Lodi, rulers from the Sayyid and Lodi dynasties. Visitors can also explore the Bada Gumbad and Shisha Gumbad, two impressive tomb-like structures whose original purpose is still debated by historians. The Athpula, a seven-arched stone bridge from Emperor Akbar's era, is another structure to see here.
