Discover what makes this destination truly special

Ramakkalmedu is a hill station and viewpoint in the Idukki district, right on the border between Kerala and Tamil Nadu. Its main draw is the incredible panoramic view it provides of the Cumbum valley and its towns in the neighboring state. The area is known for its constant, powerful winds that blow throughout the year, making it the site of a large wind farm. From the top, you can see vast stretches of farmland, vineyards, and small towns spread across the plains below. The viewpoint is a rocky summit that requires a short, moderately steep climb to reach.
