Shoja is a small village situated in the Seraj Valley, on the periphery of the Great Himalayan National Park. Unlike more crowded destinations, it maintains a quiet atmosphere, characterized by its dense forests of deodar, pine, and oak. The landscape is dotted with traditional wooden houses and terraced fields, offering an authentic glimpse into Himachali mountain life. From various points in the village, you can see panoramic views of the Dhauladhar and Pir Panjal ranges, especially during clear weather.

The nearest airport is Bhuntar Airport (Kullu-Manali Airport), located about 60 km away. From the airport, you can hire a taxi to Shoja, which takes around 2-3 hours.
Train
The nearest major railway station is in Chandigarh, about 280 km away. From Chandigarh, you can hire a taxi or take an overnight bus to Aut, and then a taxi to Shoja. The closest narrow-gauge station is in Joginder Nagar, 135 km away.
Road
From Delhi or Chandigarh, take a bus towards Manali and get down at Aut (before the tunnel). Shoja is about 38 km from Aut. You can hire a taxi from Aut. If driving, follow NH3 to Aut, then take the state highway towards Banjar, Jibhi, and then Shoja.
