Shoja is a small village situated in the Seraj Valley, on the periphery of the Great Himalayan National Park. Unlike more crowded destinations, it maintains a quiet atmosphere, characterized by its dense forests of deodar, pine, and oak. The nearest airport is Bhuntar Airport (Kullu-Manali Airport), located about 60 km away. From the airport, you can hire a taxi to Shoja, which takes around 2-3 hours.
Train
The nearest major railway station is in Chandigarh, about 280 km away. From Chandigarh, you can hire a taxi or take an overnight bus to Aut, and then a taxi to Shoja. The closest narrow-gauge station is in Joginder Nagar, 135 km away.
Road
From Delhi or Chandigarh, take a bus towards Manali and get down at Aut (before the tunnel). Shoja is about 38 km from Aut. You can hire a taxi from Aut. If driving, follow NH3 to Aut, then take the state highway towards Banjar, Jibhi, and then Shoja.
